Dr. Ellis is the owner of Smile Design Studios Family and Cosmetic Dentistry located in Missouri City, Texas.

She is also the founder and president of the Houston Minority Dental Society.  Dr. Ellis volunteers her time with several nonprofits, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Give Kids A Smile Day.

Dr. Ellis gives back to her community by way of her office hosting an annual Free Day of Dentistry and participating in the Adopt a Family For Thanksgiving program.

African-American women entrepreneurs are the fastest-growing segment of entrepreneurs in the U.S., but have more difficulty and face unique challenges in becoming successful business owners.
