Tyler Gibson: Young Entrepreneur is Creator & Publisher of North Port Athletic Rewind

Tyler  Gibson founded the North Port Athletic Rewind in 2010 in hopes to capture local sports in the community. During that time, the publication was a print tabloid focusing on high school sports at North Port High School. After publishing 6 issues, Tyler decided to focus his attention on education and gaining essential skills needed to create a more diverse product.

Tyler obtained much experience in business, leadership, and marketing skills from management roles with the YMCA, including brand management, graphic and web design, news releases, managing budgets, payroll, and staffing.

Currently a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University, Tyler declared a communication major with a concentration in public relations. He was on the Dean’s list in multiple semesters, excelling in all his PR courses including principles of public relations, PR strategy, and PR writing.

With former experience in journalism from internships and freelance opportunities, Tyler continues to remain dedicated and diligent in perfecting his skills and launching a successful entrepreneurship venture.
