Celebrate Women’s History Month – #ChooseToChallenge Video Series – Join us as we recognize 22 amazing women.  Take a moment to listen to their perspectives on celebrating women and what it means to them when they hear the cry – #ChooseToChallenge.  Today, we present Evelyn Appiah-Doniya.

Evelyn Appiah-Doniya – Chief Operating Officer Organization – Community Capital for Sustainable Livelihoods Ghana. Evelyn spearheads a private initiative that aims to:  • Support low-income families to increase their livelihood opportunities; • Sensitize stakeholders to the realities of families and their livelihoods in the program areas; • Promote advocacy for education and funds to benefit low-income families. a Personal I worked with the School of Continuing and Distance Education (formerly the Institute of Adult Education), the University of Ghana Legon for about 30 years where I held various administrative and teaching/extension positions including Assistant Project Coordinator for my Department’s flagship program titled the Mass Media Support for Adult Population Education. We used community-generated materials to develop films, reading materials, and training manuals for the following sub-themes of the project: family planning, HIV/AIDS, Women’s Education, and Adolescent Reproductive Health.
