Robert Wahmann is a founder and currently the executive director of the Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network, a non-profit a 501(c)3 corporation chartered in 2004, whose mission is to support NET cancer patients and spread awareness of neuroendocrine cancer.
Robert’s wife, Maryann, is a neuroendocrine cancer survivor who was diagnosed in 2001. NCAN was founded so that other patients would have a resource that could make their journey a bit smoother. Together they have produced and given talks at over 50 NET patient conferences nationwide. The attendees at these conferences leave with a greater knowledge of the disease and of the many treatment options that are available.
As the executive director, Robert is the principal fundraiser and oversees the many programs that NCAN provides, including funding for NET cancer research.
