The California cannabis industry is prospering quite well since voters approved Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, in 2016. The Act allows adults 21 years of age or older to legally grow, possess, and use cannabis for recreational purposes, and makes it legal for regulated businesses to sell and distribute the plant and its derivatives in the Golden State.
