In this podcast episode Tavia interviews James Timmons, a husband and father that shares his story of his infidelity of his marriage. As well as the financial constraints it put on him just to get the proper help.
James is very vulnerable and personal in our talk and by sharing his story he hopes to help others. Getting the proper help and recognizing his addiction for “love” took time. James also explains the financial hardship it put on him to get the proper treatment.
The struggle with insurance and lack of coverage didn’t stop James from getting the help he needed, however. We further discuss this struggle for others and how hard it is to get mental help in the United States.
There are many different types of mental illnesses and addictions that can lead to problems in families. James’s story is raw, real and emotional. Learn from his story. Share his struggle and how he worked hard to overcome his battle.
