Dr. Joanny Liu, TCMD, has appeared a dozen times on TV on FOX, NBC, CTV and Global, from coast to coast within the US and Canada to teach positively and constructively about concussions. She has been quoted by various news outlets including FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS, The Boston Globe and the Miami Herald about her views on the diagnosis and treatment of concussions. She has written about her clinical experiences in two books, Knock Out Concussions and Heal Your Concussion: 21 Days to Brain Health and now a best-selling third book called Heal Your Concussion: How to Quickly and Effectively Get Back in the Game. She has been invited to speak to audiences at Brain Injury Canada’s Annual Conferences and other venues. Dr. Joanny was a Professional Engineer working in various Calgary, Alberta, Canada corporate positions, settings and industries for 24 years before she headed back to school to study Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She is married, has two grown sons and still lives in sunny Calgary. An expert of the brain, she became vitally interested in concussions due to her own adult son suffering a severe concussion that temporarily blinded him.
